Founders of the Burlington Artists League:
Jim, Carolyn and nine other individuals in Alamance County founded the Burlington Artists League in 1972. Over the years annual membership has grown to over 100 members. The express purpose of the BAL is to promote and elevate the area artists and their fine art spirit in Burlington and the surrounding area. BAL energy is devoted to creating outlets for the artists and the encouragement of the artist's continuing efforts to improve and create more artwork. The main purpose of the League was and continues to be that of fostering encouragement for both new and established artists. The League provides opportunities for all artists to exhibit their art without having to pass through a jury process. It is believed that all artists must find an opportunity to start displaying their art, and through association, practice, instructional programs, and encouragement they will refine, improve and expand their abilities. You are invited to explore and if you like, join the Burlington Artists League by going to their website of www.BALartists.com.
